About Hokkaido Seafood Buffet

Born in the South where a feast means getting messy with friends, the seafood boil has been bringing people together for ages. At Hook & Reel our signature boil forks over bold flavors with a genuine, down-home feel.

But eating seafood is only part of the fun. Everything tastes better elbow-to-elbow with friends, swapping stories over music, getting down and dirty and eating with your hands – all with a cold drink at the ready, ‘cause that spice ain’t no joke. We set out to share the saucy spirit of the boil with folks everywhere – testing our very own recipes, inspired by fiery Cajun home cooking. The Hook & Reel seafood boil dishes up the “reel” deal – the full backyard boil experience and flavor, with a twist.

It’s a party, so we alway

Hokkaido Buffet – Plenty of Variety, Best for Seafood Lovers (3.8/5 ⭐) If you’re looking for variety, Hokkaido Buffet definitely delivers. You pay when you enter, including the tip, so once you’re seated you can simply enjoy your meal without worrying about the check. If you’re a crab fan, they also offer crab by the pound for an additional $12.99 per pound (about two clusters). The buffet features a huge selection of both hot and cold foods. There are sushi rolls, seafood, hibachi items, fried appetizers, noodles, vegetables, desserts, and more. It’s the kind of place where almost everyone in your group can find something they enjoy. The seafood was the highlight of our visit. The garlic shrimp, coconut shrimp, and crab were favorites for both me and my friend. My nieces couldn’t get enough of the crawfish, while my friend’s goddaughter loved the bao buns and chicken wings. Not everything was at its best, though. We visited on a slow Tuesday evening, and it showed. Some items had clearly been sitting under the heat lamps for a while. The fried salmon, several of the fried rolls, and even the corn on the cob had become dry and tough. The restaurant advertises “No MSG,” “No Food

Been here multiple times, atmosphere is moody to lively depending on the level of lighting. Really good seafood (fav is stuffed clam and crab shells, shrimp). Has an active sushi bar. Friendly service and staff

Drove out from the San Diego area because the pictures online looked so great. The food was not tasty. I waited and waited for the calamari and beef, but each time I went up, the pans remained empty. The service lacked. I felt like I was a bother because I asked for a refill on a drink. Finally got calamari only to find it lacked flavor and was cold and overcooked.

If you are an alcoholic like myself, let them know that with all the food they have here you will be able to finish any bottle they provide by yourself. Then give them the most generous tip much love anyone reading this review.

We went here on a recommendation and even though we saw some of the comments in the feed say that the service wasn't a waste up to power we decided to give it a try. The food was good for when it was and the service was hit or missed depending on who the servers were. You could tell that there are some die hard people that love the place and then there's the people that go for the value. Overall we were pleased with the value for the money and the food that we got.
